They can be thought of as individual points on the network that work together to maintain the properties of the blockchain. A node is operated by a natural or legal person. While the node itself is a technical component, when these guidelines refer to the actions and responsibilities of a node, these are attributed to the natural or legal person that operates or controls the node.
